Habitat

  • A 40-gallon enclosure with a warm side (88–92°F) and a cool side (78–80°F).
  • Run all heat sources through a thermostat.
  • Two snug hides — one per side — and a water bowl large enough to soak in.

Humidity

  • Keep humidity around 55–60%, raising toward 70% during a shed.
  • Add a humid hide or mist lightly if levels drop.

Feeding

  • Appropriately-sized frozen-thawed rodents every 1–2 weeks.
  • Avoid handling for 48 hours after a meal.

Handling

  • Let a new snake settle about a week before handling.
  • Support the whole body; occasional fasting is normal, especially in winter.
